Our Scottish Highlands & Islands tour takes you on an unforgettable journey through Scotland's most dramatic and beautiful landscapes. Starting in Edinburgh, you'll travel north into the Highlands, where rugged mountains, deep glens, and sparkling lochs create a wilderness of breathtaking beauty.

Itinerary

Day 1: Edinburgh Arrival

Arrive in Edinburgh and transfer to your hotel in the city centre. Enjoy a welcome dinner and an evening guided walk along the Royal Mile.

Day 2: Edinburgh Exploration

Full day exploring Edinburgh, including Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, and Holyrood Palace. Evening free to enjoy the city's vibrant dining scene.

Day 3: Edinburgh to Pitlochry

Journey north across the Forth Bridge to the Kingdom of Fife. Visit St Andrews, home of golf and Scotland's oldest university. Continue to Pitlochry in the Highlands. Tour a traditional whisky distillery with tasting.

Day 4: Cairngorms National Park

Explore the Cairngorms National Park, Britain's largest national park. Enjoy a guided nature walk and visit the Highland Folk Museum. Overnight in Aviemore.

Day 5: Loch Ness & Isle of Skye

Travel west via Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. Cross to the Isle of Skye via the Skye Bridge. Overnight in Portree, Skye's colourful main town.

Day 6: Isle of Skye

Full day exploring the Isle of Skye, including the Trotternish Peninsula with the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, and the Quiraing. Visit Dunvegan Castle, the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland.

Day 7: Skye to Fort William

Return to the mainland via ferry. Travel through Glenfinnan, where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard in 1745. View the Glenfinnan Viaduct, famous from the Harry Potter films. Overnight in Fort William.

Day 8: Glencoe & Loch Lomond

Morning visit to haunting Glencoe, site of the infamous 1692 massacre. Continue south through the stunning scenery of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Overnight in the village of Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond.

Day 9: Stirling & Return to Edinburgh

Visit Stirling Castle, one of Scotland's grandest castles and site of many coronations of Scottish monarchs. Learn about the battles of Stirling Bridge and Bannockburn. Return to Edinburgh for a farewell dinner with traditional Scottish entertainment.

Day 10: Departure

Free morning in Edinburgh for last-minute shopping or sightseeing before departure. Transfer to Edinburgh Airport included.
